It seems I embarrass my teenager.

I know it is not Monday or even Rainy, but really this is how I feel right now.

I'm just feeling kinda ~meh~

I thought I was a bit cooler then most of the other moms.
I guess not.
I'm just old.

I miss my parents and I can't go visit for various reasons.
I wish they had not moved.

Just not in a good place.

I know how you feel, I live away from my Parents too.

I believe it's obligatory for teenagers to be embarrassed by their parents, no matter how cool they are, eventually they get over it and realise their coolness :o)

Well, pulling out the Karen Carpenter is one sure way to feel worse. That beautiful voice, all that talent- such as sad loss even today.

Miss J knows the lonely feeling of missing a parent. It sucks. Now think back to when those same parents mortified you with their square ways. Some day your own teen will realize you were WAY cooler than they thought. Probably someday soon.

Julie...I've been lurking for awhile, but I just had to comment today. I just found out that I might not get home for awhile either and it sucks. It just does.

But I have better news on the daughter front. Also thought I was a cool mom, but alas, it wasn't true. Till she got older. Now I'm the hero on her My Space page. So hang in there.

It'll get better. My former teen now has a baby daughter of her own, and I am the hero when I take over so the new mom can take a nap!

Now if we could just sell those ugly yellow prom dresses, all would be right with the world.
